Rijksstudio

In the spring of 2014 Etsy and Rijksmuseum Amsterdam joined forces to celebrate the freshly opened Rijksstudio, a special website by Rijksmuseum where high resoution images of the master pieces exhibited in the renowned museum can be downloaded.

We were asked to be one of the designers to set an example. The task was to pick an item from Rijksmuseum's collection regarding the golden age and turn it into a fashion item. We created an evelope purse made from handmade paper (!) and added a pattern, one of my first, to the item by flat-bed printing the blue pattern and screenprinting the gold on top.
